About the Outdoor Club
We have a 6 rink, championship standard bowling green, as well as another 6 rink green currently used for roll ups, drives etc., We play internal leagues on Mondays and Fridays at 11 a.m. and in local Ladies, Mixed and Mens Leagues in the Southampton & District Area, County, Regional and National competitions.
Friendly matches are organised with other clubs during the season. These are a great way to gain experience for newer bowlers as well as a lot of fun.
Atherley caters for all levels of bowls, from absolute beginner to County and National standard.

When the Greens are open/closed
The greens normally open at 11am each day until dusk, Club Triples Leagues are run on Monday and Friday starting at 11am.
Bowls Drives, are organised on Wednesday Mornings at 10.30am
and Sunday Afternoons at 4.30pm
Local Leagues & Competitions
There are regular competitive Matches against other clubs.
National, County and District competitions take place on a knockout basis across the season.
Southampton & District League bowls:
Tuesday evenings - Mens Combination Fours & Triples Leagues 6.15 pm
Wednesday evenings - Mixed Triples League 6.15 pm
Thursday afternoons - Ladies Rinks League 2 pm
Thursday evenings - Mens Championship League 6.15 pm
Bowls Drives
Bowls Drives are a good way to practice with others, and are good for bowlers of any standard.
Wednesday with Bob - 10.15am to register
Sunday with Wayne - 4.15pm to register.
when you arrive, register your name and pick a token from a bag to decide which rink you are playing on, and who with.
Bowls Taster Sessions
The Club offers a 1 Hour Bowls taster session, to have a tour of the club, its facilities, and to have a go at bowls. All equipment is provided by the club, the only requirement is that you wear some flat soled shoes.
Bowls Coaching
The Club runs coaching courses during the summer and winter.
